Missouri’s plants and animals are something special—wild, colorful, and full of life. From dense forests filled with oak and hickory trees to open prairies dotted with wildflowers, the landscape feels alive in every season. In the spring, fields burst with color from blooming coneflowers and dogwoods, and in the fall, the trees blaze with reds and golds. Deer wander through quiet woods, turtles sun themselves along creek beds, and birds like cardinals and blue jays flash by in bright streaks. There’s a quiet magic to it all, a kind of beauty that feels honest and untamed. Spending time in this natural wonderland made me want to capture it somehow, to share that feeling with others—so I started creating a card deck inspired by Missouri’s flora and fauna. Each card is a little tribute to the wild beauty that surrounds us here.
